Luxuriously crafted in Hungary, this repurposed Twin, Queen, or King oversized down comforter is made with recycled down and feathers. But with this purified XL Twin, XL Queen, or XL King comforter using previously enjoyed feathers and down doesn't mean that it doesn't conform to the high standards of cleanliness. The high-density of this extra large Twin, Queen, or King down comforter complies to the NOMITE® anti-allergen standard, which makes it safe for those who are allergic to dust mites. But what really makes this revitalized Twin XL, Queen XL, or King XL comforter so hygienic and pure is the rigorous cleaning process it undergoes to be turned into luxurious Twin, Queen, or King extra large down bedding.
Recycling high quality Hungarian down and feathers requires a strict process to ensure they can be used in our high quality HGOOSE™ down bedding. First, the down and feathers are washed 6 to 8 times, for approximately one hour each time, they are then dried at high temperatures and finally further disinfected. And to make sure these reprocessed feathers and down are perfect for a luxurious extra large Twin, Queen, or King down comforter, they are then examined in a laboratory to confirm that they meet hygienic requirements. Only then can they be used to create a truly luxurious Twin XL, Queen XL, or King XL bedding piece with a Fill Power of 600 for ultimate comfort. And to ensure this high quality comfort doesn't shift, this oversized down Twin, Queen, or King comforter has a baffle box construction, so everything stays right where you want and need it.
NOMITE®: An anti-allergen standard that indicates a product is suitable for both children and adults that suffer from house dust mite allergies.
TÜV SÜD: Provides internationally-accredited independent product testing services in accordance with international standards.
Downafresh®: Confirmation that the feathers and down used as filling material comply with the hygiene requirements of EN 12935. This means that the down and feathers undergo 6 to 8 washing cycles for circa 1 hour, and are then dried at temperatures exceeding 100°C / 212°F and disinfected. Lastly the feathers and down are examined at a laboratory to confirm they meet the hygienic requirements.
